About

Aberration circus was conceived in Aberystwyth whilst at College and provided a nice little earner. My Aber rant continued when I left; a place to record ramblings of an exploratory nature neither geographical or outdoor orientated.

Canyon Cumbria recorded the development of ‘bottom up’ sport canyoning in the western fringes of the Lake District.  Rockfish 25 developed this from 1999, at a time when there was no canyoning and ghyll scrambling avoided the water.  The three main western valleys were extended from 1999 until 2015.  Exploratory, commercial and rescue were all integrated utilising ideas from the ACA and by 2010 some of the sties for commercial activity were being developed.

Moving south in 2015 the site shifted to Caving to elleviate the sister site – ollismark@wordpress.com.
